J.P. Clive Art

J.P. Clive began his work in art more than 30 years ago. He has been using computers to create images working with the original Quantel Paintbox, working with the original Quantel Paintbox. Today, framed J.P. Clive art have found their way into many galleries and museums throughout the world. His art also hangs in tens of thousands of offices and homes all over the world. Clive is regarded as a leading innovator in the digital applied arts, where he played a leading role in imaging techniques such as photorealistic computer animation and morphing. He has written articles, broadcast and lectured on these subjects for the American Cinematographer Magazine, The British Academy of Film & Television Arts, the London Institute of Contemporary Arts, BBC TV & Radio, and The National Film Theatre. His art makes people to think as it plays with their perception of well-known art. He manipulates the concept, and on one level, the original art ceases to exist but a piece that stirs people’s feelings and emotions. His clients consist mostly of art supply stores, art museums, gift shops, bookstores, institutions and even individuals. He worked as a television commercials director and won many national and international awards for his work. Clive turned to fine art in the 1990s. His works are in private and public collections in South and North America, Japan and Europe. His 28m x 10m exterior mural recently won the Phoenix Arts commission and was shown in the center of Brighton. Clive uses the iteration power of the computer to cultivate the type of progressions that are found in nature; like the development of cloud systems, the stratification of minerals, or the growth of organisms.
