As far back as David Chesnutt can remember, creating and art has been his central motivation. And he was fortunate enough to grow up in a city where students with artistic propensity were allowed into art classes at quite an early age. He knew that he would be an artist and today he’s among the best artists in United States. He’s currently based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States. Some of his clients Include Hockey Hall of Fame, Panasonic, McGraw Hill, Toronto Life Magazine, Molson's, Random House, Waldorf Astoria, American Express, TV Guide, Wall Street Journal, Pepsi, Heinz, Nonesuch Records, and AT&T. He uses gradients and flat colors, to give his art a very graphic look. All his motivation, whether it be landscape, architecture or painting, he turns into graphic images and shapes, or the geometry of Life and Art. Chesnutt starts his illustrations traditionally so as to give them a spontaneous feel; he then completes them digitally. All his pieces of art have been digitized and he prints them in the same sizes. The framed David Chesnutt art are availed in different frame colors depending on the needs of the clients. He has been drawing cartoons for more than 45 years, and he has been a freelance artist since 1974. This experience has enabled his to produce images that inspire his viewers. The United States Postal Service and many other companies have purchased his drawings. He attended CCS art school for a few classes on cartooning, and Crandbrook School in Bloomfield Hills Michigan.
