Rob Cherry Art

Rob Cherry grew up around the fantastic coastline of Dorset. His photographic interest began with a passion for the natural unique surroundings of Dorset. Over the last few years he’s had quite a number of his images published in newspapers, photography magazines, and local books. He’s also won several awards for his monochrome photography. Living by the coast has provided him with a good amount of subjects and basically most of his long exposure shots are taken around the sea. Once he’s found a location he feels will make a great mono shot, he’ll often return a few times to try and achieve the best possible results, which normally revolves around cloud movement and weather conditions. He says that it’s a great feeling to find what seems like a very ordinary subject and transform it into something beautiful though long exposure photography. In 2010 I one of his images was commended by the judges of the Take a view and won a place in the Awards book - Landscape Photographer of the Year 2010. In addition, the piece was displayed in the National Theatre exhibition. Cherry also picked up four awards at the International Photography Awards. He’s also received several other commendations from various worldwide photography competitions. Cherry has always had a very keen eye for symmetry and lines, so his style really appeals to many of his viewers. That’s why many collectors stock ready to hang framed Rob Cherry art.
