Framed Sharon Chandler Wall Art

Sharon Chandler did not start painting at an early age nor did she show any interest in painting, drawing or even doodling. SHE can be described as a "late" bloomer. She began painting just after she went "over the hill." Sharon studied under Ms. Dickerson Barb who has taught and painted for seventeen years. Since she did most of her paintings while she held a time job with the Environmental Protection Agency, and taking care of her family, she did not have many opportunities to do anything to share or promote her work but only gave some of her works to friends and family. In 2002/2003 she donated work to the Heart for Art Auction that was held in Covington Ga. And the proceeds went to the Heart Association. She also donated another piece to the Art As Aid Auction and the proceeds went to the Tsunami victims. Sharon paints in acrylics, oils, mixed media and pastel. Her work consists of abstract/abstract expressionism, realism and she has been known to use different methods and means in which to get the kind of art she wants. Her goal has always been to have the viewer receive as much enjoyment in viewing her work as she has in creating it. Sharon is a middle school art teacher and she has come full circle. The artist grew up in Harvard and after graduating from the Bromfield School she became the art teacher there for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. She does appreciate the fact that she’s a graduate of the school and she’s a teacher now. To her that’s really cool. Sharon produces her art in a variety of finishing options, among them the framed Sharon Chandler art which come ready to hang.
