Rachel Caldwell is Philadelphia-based illustrator. She loved art from a tender age and made her mind early enough that her career would be in the arts industry. She went ahead and obtained a bachelor of fine arts degree from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. She also has a background in graphic design which has helped her to come up with her stunning images. Since she began working as a professional artist, she has managed to attract a huge following of loyal fans. Some of her clients include United States Postal Service, Drawing North, Girt Skateboards, Columbia Sportswear, Fender, Smirnoff Vodka, Society, Threadless, The Kase, Paper Darts, House of Blues, and Wheatpaste Collective, just to name a few. Her client base is still expanding as she continues to get references from her satisfied clients. She likes to explore surrealistic themes in oils colors that are vivid. More often, the artist deals with surrealistic themes including animals. Her goal is to achieve a visual effect that’s serene and beautiful with movement and clean lines, and which also contains elements of the dreamlike, surreal, or strange. This artist wants to create artwork that takes elements from real life, combining them with unforeseen surprises such as replacing the feathers of owls with swashes/ligatures.
