Debra Jordan Bryan and her husband Steve, who is also her business partner, enjoy time together in their in Northern Michigan. The “Lodge” was once the dining hall of Trail Camp Chippewa. Debra attended this camp from 1965 until it was closed in 1983. She ran the Lodge while a counselor, as the “dining room hostess.” People like to visit this special place, so she apparently has a job for the rest of her life. Debra likes to describe her style as “familiar, friendly and warm.” As a result, her art has broad appeal and is a fit for a wide range of applications and customers. Debra spent hours as a young girl scribbling, drawing and doodling on stationery and envelopes. Her family had the opportunity to live in Germany while she was still in high school - she graduated from Frankfurt International School. After that she proceeded to Albion College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art. She later on continued her education at Kendall School of Design, in Michigan. After completing her education she worked as a greeting card artist for Hallmark thus achieving her childhood dream. Soon afterwards she decided to launch a freelance career and has enjoyed the freedom and going to work ever since. Her customers and viewers appreciate her professional but easy style, especially in the production of the framed Debra Jordan Bryan art which come ready to hang with all the necessary accessories. Her successful licensing career spans more than 25 years. And her art has appeared on everything from fabric to flags, gift bags, musical figurines, popcorn tins, paper products, calendars, and giftware collections, among others.
