Glenda Brown was born in Choctaw County, Mississippi. She graduated from Treadwell High School. Her most valuable qualification is her passion for everything that she works with. Glenda’s images have been published on greeting cards, posters, calendars, and stationery around the world. All her artworks promise to inspire and delight all new artists and all who view them. Glenda grew up in Memphis and was much inspired by the beauty of her surrounding. She, her two sons, Russell and Preston, and her husband Ronnie, now live on their farm in Arlington, TN. In addition to limited edition prints, Glenda’s completed works include oil on canvas for Mark Twain Cafeteria, the Tipton County School system, and murals for a church and illustrations for a book published by the Dyslexia Foundation of Memphis. Her studies included work under Helen Larkin, Helen Stahl, Pam Cobb, and Elmer Blaylock. She has an amazing ability to capture the essence, unique beauty as well as the personality of her subjects. Her portraits are painted in oil on a linen canvas. Her work is represented by several galleries and is part of many corporate and private collections. Several of her pieces are in high demand especially the framed ready to mount Glenda Brown art. Glenda is a member of Germantown Art League and the Tennessee Watercolor Society. She does freelance artwork for World Wide Studios in Covington, TN. She was commissioned by Rhodes College in 1987 to do a special limited edition print. Glenda holds "Best of Show" in several art shows as well as many awards.
