Marcus Bohne Art

Marcus Bohne has built a name for himself for his creative and lifelike landscape paintings. Born and brought up in El Paso, Texas, the artist was inspired into art at a very young age after he watched the work of Mort Drucker in Mad Magazine. That specific artwork made him wonder how someone would draw something that would look lifelike. This inspired him to start copying and trying out his drawing and painting skills to replicate the same. Bohne got so fascinated with painting that he proceeded to Columbia College in Columbia, MO, where he earned his BFA degree in 1975. He focuses on creating art that’s both original and honest in their presentation. Bohne clarified that, to him, art is a great way of expression. Unlike text where he would have to use many words, he prefers to tell his story through images. His focus is to capture details that go beyond what naked eyes normally see. He makes every image a unique experience, treating his landscapes as portraits and not as simple images. Bohne has been involved in numerous exhibitions, including Chaparral Fine Art in Bozeman, MT; Jack Dennis’ Wyoming Gallery in Jackson, WY; The Fountainhead Gallery in Seattle, WA; and the Northern Colorado Artist Association in Ft. Collins, CO. His art can be found in numerous galleries across the globe and they continue to find their way to different platforms due to their great quality.
