Born in Seattle, Washington, Stephen Bergstrom was introduced to art at a young age by his grandfather, who was an engineer and a prolific painter and writer. Since 1989, his artwork has been shown both locally and nationally and leading shows and exhibitions. His intention is that his viewers should become as captivated by his art as he is with the process of producing it. He focuses on details that are often missed or overlooked by other artists. That’s why his paintings move the observers rhythmically from one piece to the next. The framed Stephen Bergstrom art are particularly sold in large numbers because they come ready to hang. Bergstrom was aware that he had artistic talent at the age of 12, and while growing up in Seattle, Washington, he was allowed to exercise his creativity with a lot of freedom. He was very interested in movies and he would be found drawing scenes and sculpturing characters. In 1985, he won "Best of Show" at the Washington State Regional Art Show. Bergstrom studied at Italiano Artista, Venezia Italia and at Art Institute of Seattle. He has exhibited at many locations including but not limited to Gibson Gallery, Carmel, Proud Fox Gallery Geneva, Larry Smith Fine Art, Hollywood, Kenneth Beam Gallery, Seattle, Gibson Galleries, Carmel, CA, Lori Gallery Los Angeles, CA, Reflections Gallery, San Juan Capistrano, Bel Air Gallery Bournemouth, England, and Zado Gallery Portland, OR. Bergstrom is good at public relations and is a good businessman so his inventory sells quickly. He’s internationally known for his light-filled paintings of subjects that are full of life.
