Jan Benz Art

Jan Benz has been focusing on portraits of the domestic cats, depicting their inborn beauty and mystery in an outdoor or still life setting incorporating antiques, laces, flowers, and other beautiful objects. Her work as an artist is not limited to any particular subject. She’s always open to the surprises, opportunities and ideas each new day has to offer. She exhibits and participates in juried and regional shows and competitions and has won numerous awards. Jan loved art from a tender age and she feels nostalgic about the old memories and stories she enjoyed. These have become a strong influence of her art. Her art, especially Jan Benz art have been received well by the viewers and art critics who usually give her positive reviews. Her art is highly priced by some discerning collectors because of their high quality and demand. They can be seen hanging on some of the prestigious spaces in the world. She gets much inspiration from her travels, especially from the people she interacts with during these travels. Being outgoing, she has managed to attract a huge following of fans. She produces note cards and Limited Edition prints in addition to her originals. Jan also teaches a workshop at the Hoag Memorial Gallery in Silver Lake, NY through the Arts Council of Wyoming County. She completed the Famous Artist Fine Art Course and adult education classes in painting and drawing. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona. She currently lives on a farm in Western New York, where there’s abundant wildlife.
