Kendra Baird Art

Kendra Baird studied at the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she majored in graphic design with a minor in drawing. After graduation, Kendra worked as a freelance graphic designer and in the process she explored painting. After awhile, she eventually sold her work through galleries and various art festivals around the country. Her interest in art began as a child. However, it wasn’t until he served as a missionary from 2009 to 2010 that she realized her full calling and desire to paint. She grew up in rural Ohio but currently works and lives in Charlotte, NC. Her art is inspired by interactions and relationships with herself, other people, her faith and nature. She portrays a range of emotions through by using a variety of subject matter. After giving some paintings she created while overseas to her hosts, she saw the amazing impact a piece of artwork could have on the life of someone. She realized the importance of art as a tool for communication. She appreciated the fact that by someone simply seeing a piece of her work, she could speak 1000 words of love and encouragement to the person without uttering even a single word. In July of 2010, she returned home, and she made steps to become a full-time painter, within the comfort of her home and of knowing that God would provide for her needs. The calling and desire is not only to paint and draw, but to create works of art that God inspires and that speak the hope of Jesus Christ. Framed Kendra Baird art has been a source of inspiration to many artists.
