Andres Morya Hinojosa loved art from his childhood and followed on the footsteps of the artists that he admired. Currently, he’s based in Switzerland and is working as a biologist and photographer. Hinojosa has always been enthralled by the natural world and its diversity since his youth. Since he stared working as professional photographer, he has attracted many clients who now look upon him to provide them with high quality images. Some of his clients include Threatened Amphibians of the World, Geo, WWF, National Geographic, Wildernesstravel, Sierra, Rough Guides, Scholastic AG, Methanex, Handbook of the Birds of the World, Voyageurpress, to name just a few. He specializes in Insects in Flight, High Speed Nature Photography, Wildlife, Travel, Tribal and Indigenous Cultures Photographs. As he was growing, up Hinojosa was very curious about the outdoors. He was also captivated by the television documentaries of Attenborough David and Félix Rodríguez. He also liked to read books by Henri Jean Fabre which gave him a lot of inspiration. The artist has been working with a number of organizations and institutions including the National Museum of Natural History, the Natural History Museum, the National Forestry Corporation, the Committee for the Defense of the Flora and Fauna, the Department of Biological Sciences of the University of Chile, Birdlife International, Zoological Society of London, and The World Conservation Union. At the University, Hinojosa worked in many areas in the field of zoology. These areas included Arachnology, herpetology ornithology and entomology. Among these, the taxonomic study of the scorpions of Chile stands out. Quite a number of hi works are produced as framed Andres Morya Hinojosa art.
