Sue Allemand has been a professional designer/artist in the gift and craft industries for more than 2 decades - but the fun really began at a young age. She was lucky to be born in an artistic family. Her mother was an oil painter and her grandmother did every kind of crocheting or stitching project she could get her hands on. Sue absorbed every lesson in crochet, stitchery, sewing, painting and embroidery that she could from them, even making her first complete quilt when she was just 14 years old. "Hands-on" everything... redecorating, painting, canning, gardening, crafting, etc; that was her childhood! And she can't stop today! Sue, a self-taught artist, is widely known for her whimsical and primitive designs and for her folk art. She likes warm, fun, simple designs that add an inspiration or feeling to a room without making it look busy or cluttered. Sue believes she has the best job in the world. Being an artist lets her play with paint and supplies everyday, so she gets to live a wonderfully happy life, with a flexible schedule that allows her to go "play" whenever she wants! She’s in love with San Diego, CA and can't wait to live there full-time in the near future. She had lived there but just for a year, and she loved every second. In the meantime, Sue’s lucky enough to share time between San Diego where she has her business and in SE Wisconsin where she grew up.
