Framed Humpback Whale Artwork
One of the largest aquatic mammals and perhaps the easiest to distinguish of all whales, the humpback whale is populating all the world’s oceans.
FramedArt.com pays homage to this magnificent beast, in its collection of Framed Humpback Whale Art featuring the animal both in the wild and in captivity. The distinctive body shape of the whale and the fact that it is relatively widespread, explains why it is one of the most admired animals by whale watchers.
Framed Humpback Whale Art feature the animal as it perform some of the acrobatic maneuvers that it is famous for, including the slapping of water and breaching. Frequently found off the coast of Australia and Asia, it is also a common sight in both Americas and their friendly demeanor leads to numerous encounters with humans. The whales are also famous for their ability to migrate thousands of miles each year, with these animals living off their fat reserves each winter.
The Framed Humpback Whale Art focuses on the visuals and the beauty of the animal, but they fail to capture the magnificent and complex song produced by these creatures. Only the males are capable of generating this song and even though it isn’t 100% clear what purpose it serves, it’s commonly associated to mating. Back in the day, they were excessively hunted by the whaling industry but after they were brought on the brink of extinction, this barbaric practice was stopped and are now making a comeback.
