Dove is a commonly known name for many bird species and the dove family includes more than 300 different types of birds. Term dove is most frequently used for smaller birds and the term pigeon, for bigger ones. Because of their ability of not being able to feel heat, these birds appear in every part of the world. Doves are also called mourning birds, because of the sounds they make in order to drag attention of other birds. Doves eat seeds, nuts and fruit. Doves are brown or grey with some white parts on the edges of wings. They usually fly in flocks and sometimes the flock can include more than 4000 birds. They can fly and transit over enormous distances in order to find water. These wonderful birds are nested in old houses, in the attics or in the corners of roof edges. Ordinarily, female is the one who chooses the location and makes the nest, where she takes care of her eggs.
