Functional and Fun
Creating a functional, practical space for a child that's also aesthetically pleasing can definitely be a major challenge. When designing your kid's room, you must include plenty of storage space for toys, clothing and knick-knacks but you also want to leave enough space that he or she can run around and play! You'll also want that space to encourage fun activities, invite creativity and allow your child to grow and learn. A great way to accomplish that is through art and the colors you use in your room.
In this room, various vibrant colors are used to make the room appear welcoming and fun. Often when you use a large variety of colors in a room, it can appear disjointed and cluttered. For a kid's room, having white walls and furniture helps to open up the space, allowing you to leave the bright neon colors for toys, artwork and storage. Adding a chalk or white board painted wall can also allow your kids to add some color of their own to the room!
