Framed Steering Wheel Art

When the first cars were manufactured, the steering wheel was nonexistent, but it was eventually introduced in 1894. This innovative design changed the way the cars were driven on the road and it was Alfred Vacheron who introduced a new concept. While most of the framed steering wheel prints focus on the ones fitted in modern cars, there are a couple of posters dedicated to the early versions. They proved to be so popular and functional, that all future cars were equipped as standard with steering wheels.

As cars became more popular and versatile, the differences between steering wheels also amplified and there are now different models in use. Tilt wheels are no longer suitable but they were widespread at the beginning of the centuries and used to fit luxury vehicles. Framed steering wheel prints also feature the telescope versions and the adjustable steering column, which can be found on selected cars. Among the exotic versions are the quick release hop steering wheels, which can be detached and removed easily.
