Framed Archangel Art

The term of Archangel comes from ancient Greek, with Michael and Gabriel being recognized not only by Christians but also Islam and Judaism. Not surprisingly, they are the protagonists of the vast majority of Framed Archangel Art dedicated to these mythical creatures. Depending on the painters authoring these art prints, the representations differ, but in all of them archangels are benevolent creatures, engaged in an endless fight against evil.

Some branches of different faiths mention additional archangels, but they only occasionally appear in Framed Archangel Art. The creatures have other names in various religions and serve slightly different purposes, with some identifying a group of as many as seven archangels. Sandro Boticelli and Leonardo DaVinci are just a few of the painters who did a fine job at highlighting the moment when an archangel shares the good news with Virgin Mary. The scene of the Annunciation is perhaps the best known one revolving around these mythical creatures and there are countless representations, all of them worth adding to a personal collection.
