Lars van de Goor (Born 1964) was born in The Netherlands. The variety of colors provided by nature and beautiful trees, singing birds, rays of light and whispering leaves, all inspire his artwork. The smell of the forest gives him butterflies. He feels his footsteps and every step feels like nothing is needed anymore. He feels so relaxed and he becomes one with the surroundings. Suddenly he feels something dangling against his flanks and he sees it’s his camera. These are the moments where he realizes he has to get up so early and capture the moments. In 2007, soon after starting with photography his images started to get noticed and gained in popularity over the years. He takes great pleasure in showcasing the wonder and beauty of nature in his photographs. He was a musician long before he became a photographer. His career in music also has a strong influence in his art. Van De Goor doesn’t operate on a fixed principle; he’s free to apply what he feels can improve the quality f his photos. He edits his photos to bring out the colors and enhance the play of light on his subjects. Just 4 into his career, he was nominated as a top ten finalist in one of the most esteemed awards in the world of photography, the Hasselblad Masters Award. Currently he’s an official Hasselblad Master in the category Nature/Landscape. The ready to hang framed Lars van de Goor art are found in many galleries and homes.
