Diane Stimson Art

Diane Stimson was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. Her life as an artist did not really begin until she completed college. She attended the University of New Hampshire where she obtained a B.A. in Art and Communications. After graduation, Diane still had not made up her mind on what she wanted to do with her life, but she worked at finding a job in a creative atmosphere because she knew she loved art. She decided on pursuing an actual career as a designer only when she landed a job in advertising. She went ahead to study art at the School of Visual Arts in New York which confirmed her decision. The 20 years that followed saw her pay her dues by working her way through the corporate world as Graphic Designer, Art Director, Creative Director, and Consultant for the stationery, advertising, licensing, publishing, and home decor industries. Diane recently started her own company, “Steppin' Out Design” giving her a chance of breaking off from that frenetic pace and living out a lifelong dream. She now works with clients such as Eleanor Fine Design, BIC Corporation, Gallery Direct-UK, Zone, Company, Schawk-Chicago, and a Real Estate company called Conlon. Framed Diane Stimson art work can be found in such retail chains throughout the world as TJ Maxx, Target, Bath & Beyond, Home Goods, and Bed, among others. She is currently in New York after residing in Chicago for a number of years. She now commits her life as a freelance artist and designer for all areas of decorative art.
