Kyle Sims (Born in 1980) was born near Cheyenne in Wyoming, and this is where he was raised. He paints to visually re-create the experiences he has had with his animals in the wild. Being an active researcher and his continued practice, combined with his natural, inherent talent have helped him to grow into one of the most sought after artists in the country, especially of wildlife. His training with the arts began at an early age, but with no formal training in place. He enjoys observing wildlife firsthand and making new discoveries with oil paint. His interest and talent was recognized early by his parents and they supported, encouraged and nurtured this passion. Among the places he has shown are Western Heritage Museum, Autry National Center, National Museum of Wildlife Art, Settlers West American Miniatures, Bennington Center for the Arts, Annual Miniature Show, Dallas, Ponderosa Gallery, Trailside Galleries, Buffalo Bill Center For The West, and Settlers West Galleries, etc. Sims had very intelligent art teachers throughout his school years. And after high school he joined Rocky Mountain College to study art. Some of her prominent teachers were artists like Paco Young, Daniel Smith, and Terry Isaac. They not only taught him the principals and fundamentals of art, but also had the ability to let him run with things when they saw they were things that would help his artistic development. Framed Kyle Sims art come ready to hang with all the necessary accessories. He likes acrylics because it dries very quickly and so makes the layering process to be more efficient.
