Lisa Hill Saghini was born in Fort Lauderdale. She grew up in south Florida, where her childhood was spent either with a pair of boots or with toes in the sand, dividing her time between the barn and the beach. She loved art from a tender age, more so photography because it provided her with the ability to record the images that had an impact in her life, and the privilege of looking at the image and immediately recalling how she felt when she was in that place, or some place like it made her feel satisfied. Lisa would like her viewers to bring their own reflections or impressions to the images without being taken there directly, by her. Her goal is to communicate the essence of her subjects. However, she leaves some of the imagination to the viewer. Framed Lisa Hill Saghini art are easily recognizable because of her choice of attractive frames. Lisa comes from a long line of artisans and artists who value creative successes above material ones. In fact, her father was a writer and artist and he helped to nurture Lisa’s love of using sketch pads, books, cameras and pencils. Lisa studied art history at the University of Florida; but in the course of her studies she always returned to her favorite artistic expression which is photography. Her images capture the transitory movement of her subjects, built with instinct-driven and an original vision. Today, her photos can be found in corporate and private collections around the world as well as in many hospitality, retail and media venues. They are evocative and beautiful.
