Vladimir Kostka is a photographer who was born and raised in Slovak republic. He later moved to Canada, but before then, he had found inspiration and captured beautiful images on his travels around the world in more than 52 countries. Upon settling in Canada, Kostka continued travelling to find and photograph the beauty of life and landscapes of his new home country. His continued travels provided him with the opportunity to photograph amazing scenes including the West Cost beaches and the Rocky Mountains to Niagara Falls and beyond. Kostka’s talent led him to have his photographs published in several magazines and also to teach photography. Kostka received his first camera when he was only 7 years old. Viewing the world through his camera’s lens and developing the black-and-white prints became his first love. As years went by, he discovered how to produce images in a highly creative manner while staying true to the feelings of those crucial moments in time. His art has appeared in many solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada. With an eye for the magic of a scene Kostka continues to capture “Beauty in unexpected places” both at home and around the world. And to stay true to his own vision and keeping the highest quality possible, he is printing most of his photographs at his studio, completing the circle from the idea to the print. Framed Vladimir Kostka art are currently being sold in several art stores, galleries, and through private sales around the world. Today, his photographs are much sought after by many discerning collectors.
