Anne Jenkins believes that one doesn't know what he/she can do until he/she tries – and then keep trying something new. She’s a self-taught artist who continues to grow as she learns more. She has been a full-time artist for more than 12 years now and says she’s had a fascinating life experience. Though she’s a British citizen, Anne was born and raised in South Africa. She lived in 6 European countries for a quarter century and traveled extensively before settling in the U.S. New Orleans was a natural choice for her and it became her adopted city for a few years until Hurricane Katrina. Anne mainly paints large-size acrylics in impasto style with a palette knife – her art is always full of soft watercolor sketches, or vibrant color and movement. Her acrylic paintings are full of thick palette knife texture and vibrant; her watercolors are voluptuous and soft - when seen together it looks like they have been done by two different artists. Her work champions and celebrates women and good causes. Initially, she owned The Point of Art Gallery & Studio in Georgia and she has been a photographer, reporter, English teacher, banker, truck driver and a housecleaner. Her corporate clients include Entergy Power Company, New Orleans, Universal Studios, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, TravelTalk Radio, San Diego, Datacert Inc., Houston, Texas, and Haley.Donovan, Architects, among others. The ready to hang, framed Anne Jenkins art are highly priced by many discerning collectors. Her art has appeared Delaware Today, Lake Oconee Living, Lakelife, Georgia, Augusta Magazine, and PGA Masters Edition, Georgia, to name just a few.
