As an undergraduate student at the State University of New York, she focused on textile designs and clay forms. While in school, she developed an interest in incorporating fabric into porcelain wall pieces. After her graduation, she became an apprentice at various textile and design studios then later joined a graphic design studio. Liz later became a freelance artist and built a reputation as a skilled concept illustrator and art director. This enabled her to return to watercolors, handling different themes such as landscapes, abstracts, still, and florals. Although she currently uses different media for her art making, she prefers acrylics.
