Deann Hebert has had an open studio just outside of Nashville, TN for the past ten years. The studio is located inside what was once an abandoned mattress and stove factory. In her work, Deann recalls the rustic atmosphere of rural life, a neutral, soft palette and layers of painted texture are suggestive of peeling barn paint and tree bark. Having been recently filmed and then featured in the popular Design Sponge Blog and on HGTV, her studio was also featured in the issue of “Where Women Create Magazine.” As much as her art speak to the rural history of the South, the use of soft, natural color, natural elements and rich texture, give the art a wonderfully beautiful cozy appeal that art collectors across the country are scrambling for. Perhaps her art is a reminder that we all share in a colorful, collective past. Her studio is where she creates and sells her work and it has given folks the opportunity to see her working and to get a better look at the process behind the work, as well as afforded her the opportunity to meet and form relationships with many of her collectors. The framed Deann Hebert art is currently highly priced because they are in great demand. He recently teamed up with Williamson County and The Franklin’s Heritage Foundation to donate a live event painting of “The Heritage Ball”, the annual event held to raise funds for the organization. The event is held on the grounds of the Carnton Plantation. Deann is a graduate of Auburn University where she received her BFA. She continued her art studies at The London Institute, including Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design and Chelsea College of Art & Design.
