Ghambaro (Born 1948) was born in China. He studied and mastered the techniques of the traditional Chinese painting plus French Impressionistic style of painting at the Jinan University and also at the Canton Fine Art Institute from where he graduated in 1970. Today, Ghambaro draws and involves his viewers into his pastoral scenes by the pleasant journey he promises and his knowledge of perspective. He has a lot of experience, having worked as a graphic designer and as a teacher in Guangxi, China. In 1977’ he accepted another teaching position at an art institute in New Zealand. His paintings have been exhibited at the Peking Art Exhibition and the Guangxi Art Show. Many of his water scenes, landscapes and village life which he paints in separate brush strokes of purple, lavender, mauve teal and violet, overwhelm his viewers with a magnificence created by his treatment of light, plus his use of color. His colors, not only have their own brilliance and power but they contain components of light. The colors may be intensely vibrant or muted. This unique style creates luminosity that’s different from that of ordinary light. It rather creates a mysterious inner illumination that captures a fleeting moment in time. Framed Ghambaro art are currently hanged on the walls of many prestigious buildings and institutions around the world. His art, with his depiction of technique, space and composition, are well founded in the school of Impressionism. During the summer of 1980, he moved to and settled in the US.
