Graham Forsythe (1952 - 2012) was a painter who created artwork that's vibrant and that show excitement. He was born in Ireland and he later moved to Canada where he became a naturalized citizen in 1970. Forsythe went to the University of Guelph, Quebec, from where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree. After that he started writing short stories while living a life that was laced with a lot of traveling. This enabled him to have beautiful experiences and adventures. Still, he didn't quite appreciate all that beauty since he had a problem with his eye vision. In 1991, his vision was corrected through an eye operation, enabling him to see the beauty of his surroundings and appreciate it even more. It’s after fully having his vision that he went into painting. Because he would then see clearer details, he properly captured colors, shapes, and spaces, making his art more attractive. Forsythe’s art, presented on canvas, shows an excitement that's evocative of nature beauty. He covers a wide spectrum in his works, including luminous abstracts, still lifes, and landscapes. His art was influenced by his many travels and strengthened by his improved vision. While some would categorize his art, he doesn't categorize his own art, but looks at it as a form of expression and meditation. Forsythe fully understands how to capture 3-dimensional subjects on 2-dimensional support bases. His art can be found in galleries across Canada, the U.S., and several other locations. Framed Graham Forsythe art can be found in galleries for those who prefer ready to hang pieces.
