Award winning painter, Bruce Dumas, has exhibited in several galleries and in fine art shows, at Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, Rhode Island, Maine, New Jersey, Vermont and New York. He also had successful one-man art shows at the Patrick's Fine Art Gallery in New York City, Audubon Coastal Center, Aardvark Art Studio, CT, and The Sandman Gallery. Dumas also exhibited and sold his paintings at the Greenwich Workshop Gallery, which is considered to be one of the finest galleries in Connecticut. His love for art began as a child and he began sketching and drawing back then. He started by sketching and drawing fantasy and science fiction subjects before he began working on landscapes. Soon he incorporated wildlife in his paintings to depict them in their natural environment. Dumas have been painting professionally since 1982. He used to paint in oils, but today he works exclusively with acrylics on board and on canvas where he represents the wide variety of seascapes, nature, landscapes, and harbor scenes he has encountered in his extensive field trips along the east coast and throughout New England. He is a member of Lyme Art Association in CT, and Naples Art Association at the Von Liebig Art Center. Dumas has published for Lyme’s brochure illustrating the “Old Lyme CT, Where Art Lives.” He studied art at Paier College of Art. He’s signed on one of the leading art licensing & publishing companies in the world called Applejack Art Partners. Currently, his creative works are exhibited in three leading galleries, with framed Bruce Dumas art being one of the many finishing options available.
