Harold Davis is an award-winning photographer who’s also known internationally as a digital artist. He has led destination photography workshops to Spain, France, Morocco and Italy; and to United States locations such as the very old Bristlecone Pines found in eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. His popular online course Photographing Flowers, on Craftsy.com, has more than 5,000 students and many are still joining in. His ongoing photography workshops are continually in demand and very popular. He does them in partnership with institutions such as the Center for Photographic Art, Point Reyes Field Seminars, the Heidelberg Summer School of Photography and Maine Media Workshops. When not traveling in search of photographic scenes and subjects, Davis can be found at home in California, in his flower garden in Berkeley, with his wife Phyllis and their 4 children. Davis is also an author of many bestselling photography books. Some of which include Achieving Your Potential As a Photographer and The Way of the Digital Photographer. He grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and when he was 5 years old, his parents gave him a box camera and that’s when he fell in love with photography. Davis later became interested in painting and decided to study abstract and figurative painting at the Bennington College, Art Students League, and elsewhere. Today, framed Harold Davis art adorn the walls of many buildings the world over. To make his work easy, he opened a studio in New York, where he became part of the art scene, hanging out with leading artists including Mark Kostabi, Basquiat, Keith Haring and Julian Schnabel.
