Christopher Cuseo (Born 1979) was born in riverside California. He currently lives and works in New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney. He’s a multimedia artist, sculptor, and painter who studied film and design at UCLA and graduated in 2003 with a BFA. Cuseo has made a mark as a fine artist. He creates large scale figurative works which he has exhibited across the country as well as abroad. Currently he’s working on large scale watercolor and oil paintings and he’s started on a new body of sculptures. Cuseo’s paintings reflect his personal memories. He uses his cinematic style to create a strong sense of acquaintance which allows his viewers to go on board on their own personal journey of interpretation, bringing to mind those raw sensations that usually get buried with the past memories. His visually arresting artwork reflects personal experiences that occurred during the developmental stages of his artistic process. He has exhibited in galleries in Melbourne, Sydney and Los Angeles since 2006. The artist credits his awareness of color and form and conceptual vocabulary to Vasa Mihich, whose work had great influence on him during college. At college, Cuseo absorbed the keen attention to form and color associated with paintings and sculptures of Vasa Muhich, and later refined his own conceptual and visual vocabulary that emerged through his focus on allegorical paintings exploring how the stance and posture of the female form can evoke feelings of emotional affliction. Today, his art are in great demand and framed Christopher Cuseo art can be found adorning the walls of many prestigious galleries and homes all over the world.
