Gustave Bienvetu (Born 1877 – Died 1914) was born in Paris. He was a painter of still life and genre painters, but was most renowned for his beautiful pictures of flowers. He studied painting under Aumont and Jules Petit, and exhibited at the Paris Salon of French Artists, particularly at Pour la fete de ce soir, Bourriche de Roses, Roses et Pavots, Buisson de Roses, Au Boudoir, En Hiver and Bouquet de Giroflees.. Titles of works which he exhibited there include: Winter Flowers of Nice, which he did in 1904 and Vase of Roses which he did in 1903. Most of his works are now held in the Museum of Bourbon Lancy, and can also be found in a number of important private collections both in England and Europe. In 1906 he received a special commendation, and he was given the opportunity to exhibit at the Salon for 8 years. His flowers/roses are particularly evocative and well drawn. All his paintings are delicately executed with a subtle build up of glazes to give a subtle palette. Gustave painted several pieces of art that can be seen in many places around the world. The framed Gustave Bienvetu art are much sought after and are highly priced by many discerning collectors. His paintings are easily recognizable among the works of other artists because of the unique style with which they are painted. Even when he was a student in Parish, the lecturers and fellow students noticed his unique talent and he always received positive comments from them.
