In nature cherry blossoms are already a work of art but, when artists turn them into framed cherry blossom art they become something much more beautiful and are captured in time; guaranteed to never change. In the art world cherry blossoms are used as subjects in a plethora of different ways.
Artists like Kathe Fraga created framed cherry blossom paintings using an almost abstract format with lots of colors to make the blossoms jump from the canvas. Her painting “Cherry Blossoms” with the hummingbird searching for nectar is a popular piece in the world of art. Simon Addyman used an impressionistic approach when he painted his version of “Cherry Blossoms.”
Sue Schlabach uses photography to produce wonderful pieces of framed cherry blossom artwork. Her close-ups of the delicate flowers are awe inspiring to art viewers and bring a feel of cheer to any room. Sabine Gotzes doesn’t let art lovers forget that the cherry blossom comes from Japan in the work titled “Cherry Blossoms”. Though many artists’ works have the same names they are very different in the way they portray the cherry blossom.
Many of the monuments and memorials in the Washington, D.C. area are surrounded with cherry blossoms which make photographs of these places into true pieces of art.
