Framed Seal Artwork
Seal is the term commonly used to define the pinnipeds, animals that populate all the oceans of the world and have more than 33 extant species.
They bear many similarities to bears and they are carnivorous creatures, even though they don’t have a menacing look and don’t instill fear in the hearts of those watching them. In fact, the pups are so cute that they are at the cornerstone of the best majority of Framed Seal Art on display at FramedArt.com.
The smallest seals are just a bit over 3 feet, while at the opposite end of the spectrum sits the southern elephant seal which is longer than 15 feet. The largest carnivore in the world is also depicted in the Framed Seal Art, although the vast majority of them emphasize the agility and flexibility of smaller animals. They have the uncanny ability of performing fast maneuvers and they are more flexible than dolphins, who are otherwise faster.
One of the advantages that seals have over their intelligent counterparts is that they can also move on land, by using the front limbs as legs. Granted they are far slower on the surface, this type of movement presents a great deal of flexibility and makes them suitable to live in different environments. Framed Seal Art depicts these animals as slow and unwilling to make much of an effort on the ground, but their mood quickly changes whenever they spot a potential threat.
