Framed Blue Jay Art

The distinctive tail feathers of the Blue Jay are on display in John James Audubon’s framed Blue Jay art. In “Blue Jay” three of the birds are grouped together on a tree. The positioning of the birds allows art enthusiasts to see many views of the Blue Jay, including the blue, white, and black tail feathers in the telltale stripped pattern. In his piece titled “Audubon Blue Jays” we see what appears to be the same tree and the same positioning of three Blue Jays. But the season seems to be different.

Both a Blue Jay and a cage feature prominently a wonderful piece of art by Paul Brent. In “Botanical Birdcage I“ a beautiful ornate cage hangs in front of a wall covered in flowered wallpaper. The birds are on the outside of the cage with the Blue Jay at the top of the cage. He seems to be looking down at the bird at the bottom of the cage.
